Meet Elgé
Hi. I’m Elgé Premeau. My fist name sounds like “L.J.” and if that’s how you need to remember it, that’s fine with me. For over 20 years I have worked with small businesses aiming to be larger businesses. My methods include efficient administrative processes and using the internet to increase visibility and profits.
Before launching my virtual assistant business, I worked in Silicon Valley alongside some of the brightest innovators and entrepreneurs of the last 50 years. My career included roles at Interval Research, an R&D think tank funded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, Philips Electric’s video conferencing division, and a startup later acquired by Microsoft. Those years taught me not only how successful businesses operate, but also how to build systems that keep them running smoothly.
I became a virtual assistant in 2001, long before remote work was common. Back then, clients needed the same things they do today: organization, structure, and someone they could trust to keep their business on track. I quickly became that person. Over time, I expanded my skills into internet marketing, website management, and search engine optimization, helping small businesses and professionals strengthen their presence online while staying focused on their core work.
My background isn’t in business; it’s in psychology. I have a bachelor’s degree and most of a master’s in the field, and it turned out to be the best preparation for this work. My early career in mental health taught me how to listen, how to communicate with different personality types, and how to bring calm to stressful situations. That ability to read people and ease frustration is invaluable when handling client intake and communication for attorneys.
I’ve always been an organizer. Even as a kid, I was creating systems, including my own version of the Dewey Decimal system to organize my books. Today, that same instinct drives my work with my clients: creating order out of chaos, improving efficiency, and helping you reclaim your time so you can focus on what you do best.
I’ve also taught classes on internet marketing and online visibility for organizations including Mercy Corps HQ in Portland, the Regional Arts Council, Willamette Writers, and Wordstock PDX. Teaching keeps me sharp and reminds me how powerful the right systems and tools can be for growing a business.
When you work with me, you get more than administrative support. You get a trusted partner who understands business, human behavior, and how to make both work together smoothly.
A Note on Tone…
This website is written from an “I” perspective versus a “we” perspective because I am your main point of contact. However, Silver Falls Admin is really comprised of a network of professionals with expertise in a variety of areas including accounting, graphic design and advanced programming. If I don’t know how to do something, I know someone who does.
